About Me

Delwyn McLennan

My name is Delwyn McLennan, a wildlife photographer from South Africa, and my photography is driven by a lifelong connection to Africa’s wild places. I was drawn to wildlife photography because it gave me a reason to get out, explore, and truly experience Africa—not just as a destination, but as a living, breathing environment. From an early age, the bush has been part of my life, shaping how I see nature and the stories I want to tell through my images.

I photograph wildlife across Southern Africa, traveling through multiple countries and environments, always with a camera in hand. My approach is simple: I photograph what I see. I’m not chasing perfection or spectacle—I’m capturing real moments as they unfold in the wild. Using my Nikon Z8, I focus on honest representations of animals, landscapes, and the quiet details that make Africa such a powerful place.

At its core, my work is about understanding Africa and appreciating the beauty of nature. Conservation matters to me, and my images often show the habitats we need to protect if these animals are to thrive. I’m a hobbyist photographer, and this website exists purely to share my work and my perspective with others. If my photographs help people see Africa a little more clearly—or feel a deeper respect for the natural world—then they’ve done exactly what I hoped they would.
